Technology chosen first, with no reason the project needs it

"Blockchain-based", "AI-powered" and "metaverse" in a title attract questions, not marks. Committees regularly push back on proposals where the technology looks chosen to sound impressive rather than to solve the problem.

For each headline technology, write one sentence on why the problem needs it and what simpler option you considered:

• "We use a machine learning model because expiry risk depends on sales patterns that simple rules miss; we will compare it with a rule-based baseline."
• "We do not use blockchain: a normal database with an audit log meets the traceability need."

Being able to say why you did not use something is as convincing as using it.
