Our mission
Help every student and professional grow a career that actually makes sense.
One piece of good guidance, free or from someone who has walked the road, can change the direction of a life. Nothing we could build matters more than that.
So Sefism will keep taking on new ways to lift students and professionals: clearer career plans, honest information about how companies hire, and learning that is worth the hours you put in. We want people to believe in education again, and to spend their time learning instead of losing it.
- Career plans that make senseKnow where you are heading and the next step that gets you there, instead of a pile of open tabs.
- Help that reaches peopleEverything here is free to learn from, and an expert is a call away when you are stuck on a decision.
- Learning over noiseFocused material in the right order, so your hours go into learning rather than scrolling for what to learn.
This is the start. More initiatives to lift students and professionals are on the way.

Pakistani and top global tech companies
507 employers, and how each one actually hires.
Most people apply into a black box. This is the opposite: a ranked, free directory of Pakistan’s tech employers and the top global ones, onsite or remote, with the careers link, the interview rounds and pay ranges where they are known, and a named source behind every claim.

What is in a profile
The rounds, in order
Every stage of the process, what each one is really testing, and how long the whole thing tends to take.
What it pays
Ranges by role and level where anyone has published them, dated, with the sample behind each figure.
A source on every claim
Each line is labelled with where it came from and how well established it is, so you can tell a policy from one candidate’s account.
A working way in
The careers page and the roles they hire for, link-checked, so you are not chasing a page that moved two years ago.
Independent. No company pays to appear here, and none of it is sponsored. Nobody can buy a higher position or have their profile taken down, though anything that is wrong gets fixed the day someone tells me.
Ask me for a referral
Every profile has a referral button. Where I know someone on the inside and your profile genuinely fits the role, I will put you forward. Where I cannot, I will tell you so, and why.
Find the company, then askWhat you can count on
You get an answer either way, usually within a few days.
A straight no if your profile does not fit the role. A weak referral wastes your week and costs me the contact.
When it is a no, you get the reason and the route that does work instead.
Nothing you send goes anywhere without you agreeing to it first.

How credits work
Free to learn. Credits keep it fair.
Everything on Sefism is free to read. A few things take real time on the other end, like a written answer or a call, so they use credits. Credits are a fair-use allowance, not a price: they make sure the time goes to people who are actually learning.

Meet Tauseef Fayyaz
I'm Tauseef Fayyaz. I lead a full-stack engineering team, working day to day alongside engineers who have built systems and sat on hiring panels at FAANG-scale companies. Most of my time goes into architecture calls, code review, and getting the engineers on my team unstuck, which is where nearly everything I share about careers actually comes from.
Leading a team taught me the part nobody writes about: the gap between engineers who progress and engineers who stall is rarely raw ability. It is scope, communication, judgement about what to build, and knowing how your work is read by the people who decide promotions. That is the material I teach.

Frequently asked
Common questions about Sefism & mentorship
The 8 things people ask most, answered plainly. Open any of them.
What is Sefism?
Sefism is a career-growth platform founded by Tauseef Fayyaz that helps developers and tech professionals through free 1:1 mentorship, career guidance, project feedback, a ranked directory of Pakistani and top global tech companies and how they hire, profiles of Pakistani universities for computing students, and curated learning resources around AI and software engineering.
Who is Tauseef Fayyaz?
Tauseef Fayyaz is a Lead Full Stack Engineer and career mentor based in Lahore, Pakistan. He shares practical AI, software engineering, and career-growth content with 90K+ followers on LinkedIn, mentors engineers 1:1 through Sefism, and founded Sefism, a growing developer community focused on mentorship and developer career growth.
Is Sefism free to join?
Yes, all of it. The company directory, the university profiles, the resources library, the blog, and the final-year project ideas are free, and so is every 1:1 session: mentorship, career guidance, LinkedIn and profile reviews, and personal branding. Sessions are for Sefism members: once your account is approved, you book them from your dashboard, and nothing is charged. Slots are limited each week because mentoring runs alongside a full-time engineering job.
What topics does Sefism cover?
AI engineering, full-stack web development, system design, project feedback, career strategy, content and audience growth for developers, and brand collaborations in the dev and AI ecosystem.
Where does the company hiring information come from?
From public sources, named on every profile: careers pages, job postings, employee review platforms, salary sites, and first-hand accounts from candidates who have been through the process. Each claim carries its source and how well established it is, so you can see the difference between something a company states and something one candidate reported. Nobody pays to be listed, nothing is sponsored, and no company can buy a higher position or have a profile removed, though anything factually wrong gets corrected. Hiring processes change, so the official careers page is always the last word.
Where does the university admissions information come from?
From each university's own admissions pages and prospectus, regulators such as HEC, PEC and NCEAC, testing bodies, news reports, and students who applied and wrote in. Every admission window, entry test, merit formula, course list and fee is labelled with its source, and admission months carry the cycle they were read from, because they change every year. The companies listed as recruiting from a university are the ones a career fair list, campus drive, internship partnership or agreement names. Nobody pays to be listed, and the university's own admissions page is always the last word.
Can you refer me to a company?
You can ask, and you will get a straight answer either way. A referral only means something if the person giving it can actually speak to your work, so a request is referred where there is a contact on the inside and the profile genuinely fits the role, and declined plainly where there is not. Most requests are declined, and saying so up front is the point: a referral for a role you do not fit wastes your time and costs the contact. Where a referral is not possible, the reply says why and points at the route that does work. Nothing you send is shared with anyone without you agreeing first.
How do I contact Tauseef?
Use the contact form on this page, or email tauseeffayyaz@gmail.com directly for mentorship, brand deals, promotions, podcasts and partnerships. Product, billing and legal questions go to support@sefism.com.
