Mobile final year project ideas
Free mobile final-year project ideas for CS and software engineering students, each scoped for a single semester with a suggested stack and deliverables.
Ideas and guidance, not finished projects
These are project ideas and scoping guidance, published free for students to use as a starting point. I do not build, write, or sell final-year projects, and I do not complete coursework for anyone. Take an idea, make it yours, and build it.

Local Market Price Transparency App
Crowdsourced commodity prices from local markets, aggregated so growers and buyers can see what a crop is actually selling for nearby before they accept an offer. Simple technology addressing a real information asymmetry, with moderation as the hard part.
On-Device Wellbeing Journal with Private Sentiment Trends
A private journal that analyses mood trends entirely on the device, with the encrypted data never leaving the phone. The engineering claim is the privacy architecture, and the most important design work is knowing what the app must refuse to do.
Indoor Navigation Using Bluetooth Beacons
Turn by turn navigation inside a building where satellite positioning does not work, using cheap Bluetooth beacons and sensor fusion. Positioning accuracy from signal strength alone is poor, and improving it with dead reckoning is the substance of the project.
Receipt Scanning Expense Splitter
A shared expense app that reads a photographed receipt, extracts the line items, and lets a group assign each item to whoever ordered it. The debt simplification algorithm and the OCR correction interface are both more interesting than they sound.
Medication Adherence Tracker with Caregiver View
A reminder app for people managing several long-term prescriptions, with an optional linked view for a family member who wants to know a dose was taken. Deliberately accessible design for older users, which is a real engineering constraint rather than a decorative one.
Crowdsourced Public Transport Arrival Tracker
Arrival predictions for transport networks that publish no live data, built from anonymous location traces contributed by passengers already on board. The interesting problems are estimating arrivals from sparse noisy traces and designing the privacy model.
Offline-First Field Data Collection App
A survey and inspection app for people working where there is no signal: forms are defined server side, completed offline over days, and synced with proper conflict handling when a connection returns. Offline-first is a real architectural discipline and most student apps only pretend to do it.

Each of these is its own page, so you can send someone straight to the AI ideas or the beginner ones.
Stuck on something specific?
Writing only gets you so far. If you want an answer to your situation rather than the general case, book a session and we will work through it together. Every session is free; a few slots open each week.
