Google API Design Guidance (AIPs)

API Improvement Proposals are the numbered design documents Google uses for its APIs, covering resource-oriented design, standard methods, naming, pagination, field masks, long-running operations and errors. Each AIP explains the rule and the reasoning behind it, which makes the collection a strong reference for designing consistent APIs at scale. It leans towards gRPC and Protocol Buffers, so REST-only teams will need to translate some parts.
