Your first tech job

Stage 6 · Lesson 7 of 7

A small, steady learning plan

Productivity and learning on the job

Most learning in a first job happens on the job, but a small, steady plan speeds it up. Pick one or two skills your current work needs, such as the team's main , or testing. Give them a few hours a week, ideally agreed with your manager as part of work time.

The same rule as applies: choose what helps you now. Prefer learning you can use the same week. Read the docs for the you are using today, or learn how a system you touch works underneath.

counts too. Review the plan each month against your goals. This keeps you growing without burning out.

Common trapchasing every new tool on social media while the skills your daily work needs stay shallow.

A question to check yourself, an AI practice session and 2 cheat sheet entries come when you add the roadmap to your account. Add it
