Stage 3 · Lesson 6 of 7
Choosing how direct clients pay you
With no platform in the middle, you choose how money reaches you, and you do it before the first invoice. differ a lot: the routes open to you depend on where you and the client live. A local suits local clients.
For clients abroad, you might share or Wise account details, where those services support you. PayPal is an option only where it operates, which excludes countries such as Pakistan and Bangladesh. For each service, check what it lets you do where you live, its fees and , and how long money takes to arrive.
That makes your clear from day one. If you can, test it with a small transfer from a friend abroad. Write the chosen method on your invoice template.
Common trapagreeing a project and then asking the client to use a payment app that does not work in either of your countries.
A question to check yourself, an AI practice session and 2 cheat sheet entries come when you add the roadmap to your account. Add it
