Packages from pub.dev
Your app's are listed in pubspec.yaml. You add one with flutter pub add http, which picks a version range such as ^1.2.0 (any 1.x at or above 1.2.0). The pubspec.lock file records the exact versions installed.
Commit it for apps, so every machine builds the same thing. Before choosing a package on pub.dev, check its likes and (a quality score), whether it lists Android and iOS support, and when it was last published. Prefer packages from the and teams or well-known publishers.
Common trapadding a package for a few lines of code, then being stuck on an old Flutter version when it is abandoned.
