Material and Cupertino on both platforms

Widgets and layout

draws every pixel itself. So a app looks the same on Android and iPhone unless you choose otherwise. That is fine for many apps, but iPhone users notice details that do not feel native, such as back swipes, switches and dialogs.

Flutter gives you options. Cupertino follow Apple's style. Adaptive such as Switch.adaptive and CircularProgressIndicator.adaptive pick the right look for each platform.

Theme.of(context).platform lets you branch where needed. Learn Material 3 well first, then adapt a few controls users see often.

Common trapbuilding two full sets of screens, which doubles the work for very little gain.
