Chapter 6 · Practice 1 of 3
Split the presentation by what each member built
From Present as a team
Why it matters
Give each member the part of the presentation that matches their work: the person who built the sync engine presents sync and demos it. This makes answers more convincing and individual marking fairer.
Many departments expect roughly equal time. The University of Lahore's Islamabad campus guidelines, for example, split the final presentation roughly equally among members. A typical split for three members:
| Member | Presents | Demos |
|---|---|---|
| A | Problem, existing work, objectives | Sign in and scanning |
| B | Architecture and key decisions | Offline sync and conflicts |
| C | Testing, results, limitations | Reports and alerts |
Agree the split early and write it on the first slide or in your notes, so the panel knows who to ask about what.
Do
- Match each member's slot to their own work
- Keep speaking time roughly equal
Avoid
