Stage 2 · Lesson 1 of 8
Agreeing your onboarding plan
In your first week, agree an with your manager. Ask what good looks like at one, two and three months, often called a 30-60-90 day plan. Write the answer in a short document you can both see.
A common shape: in month one, learn the setup, and people; in month two, ship small changes; by month three, own a small area. Also ask how probation is judged, who your buddy is and which meetings matter. Every later stage measures you against these expectations: your updates, your and your first review.
Common trapwaiting to be told and keeping your head down for weeks, then discovering late that you were expected to ship sooner, or to ask more questions.
A question to check yourself, an AI practice session and 1 cheat sheet entry come when you add the roadmap to your account. Add it
