Stage 2 · Lesson 3 of 7

Writing short case studies

Proof without reviews

Turn each into a : a short story a non-technical can read in a minute. It covers the problem, what you did and why, the result, and a link or three screenshots. Write the result in the client's terms.

For example: bookings now arrive in writing, the page loads in two seconds instead of six, or the report takes a minute instead of a day. Be honest about samples, and about what you personally built on team projects. A case study shows how you think and communicate.

For a client hiring you for the first time, that matters as much as the finished work. Case studies become Upwork portfolio items, Gig descriptions or the heart of your site.
