Stage 1 · Lesson 2 of 8
Semantic HTML and forms
describes what content is, and the right element does work for you. A <button> can be reached with the Tab key and responds to Enter. A <div> with a click handler does neither.
Use elements like header, nav, main and article. Give each page one h1 and keep headings in order. like this lets screen readers and search engines follow the page.
Forms matter most for full stack work, because they are how users send data to your server. Every input needs three things. A label tells people what to type.
A name becomes the key in the submitted data. The right type, such as email or number, gives the right keyboard and checks. Built-in attributes like required and minlength give quick feedback. They are only a convenience, though: the server must always check the data again.
A question to check yourself, an AI practice session and 1 cheat sheet entry come with the full roadmap. Unlock
