Tech roles beyond coding

Stage 1 · Lesson 1 of 8

What "beyond coding" really means

The landscape of non-coding tech roles

A sits inside a software team, but its main output is not production code. Instead it produces decisions, words or relationships. That does not mean non-technical.

A reads dashboards and API designs (plans for how pieces of software talk to each other). A tests every command in a guide. A builds .

What changes is the balance: less time writing code, and more time understanding users, explaining things and coordinating people. This stage maps the roles so you can choose on purpose. The next stage builds the technical literacy, a working grasp of how software is made, that all of them share.

Common trapchoosing a role to escape anything technical. People who do that struggle in their first month, because engineers stop trusting someone who cannot follow the basics.

A question to check yourself, an AI practice session and 1 cheat sheet entry come with the full roadmap. Unlock
