Stage 2 · Lesson 5 of 7
Pause the feed
The day you get a rejection is often the day your feed is full of other people's offer announcements, toppers and launches. That is not a sign the world is against you; it is how feeds work, since people post wins and rarely post losses. For a few days, mute or log out of LinkedIn, Instagram and the class group if they make you feel worse.
Do not post about the setback until you have had time to think about what you want to say. If you later share it, share it as a lesson, after you have a plan.
Common trapscrolling for hours to see who got what, which feels like keeping informed but feeds comparison and keeps the wound open.
