Stage 2 · Lesson 6 of 6
Family rights and changing jobs
Two conditions of your permit matter as much as getting it. First, family: can your spouse and children join you, from when, with what or housing, and may your partner work? Second, mobility: if you change employer, does the permit move with you, need a new application or a notification, and how long may you stay after a job ends?
Some routes are generous on both, others strict, and the rules sit on the same official pages as the main route. Write both down for your route before you accept an offer, because they decide how safe your position is in your first year.
Common traplearning the job-change rules only when you are already unhappy in the job or already laid off.
A question to check yourself, an AI practice session and 2 cheat sheet entries come when you add the roadmap to your account. Add it
