Chapter 03
Your storefront
Where clients find you: an Upwork profile, Fiverr Gigs or your own LinkedIn and portfolio. Each works differently, so set up the one you chose properly.
Gig
- What
- A Fiverr service listing: a title starting "I will", a category, up to three pricing packages, a description, requirements and a gallery. New sellers can have up to 4 active Gigs.
- Why
- Buyers search and order Gigs, so the Gig is both your shop window and your contract for scope.
Watch out
Making several near-identical Gigs for the same service instead of one strong Gig per distinct service.
Gig SEO
Also called Gig tags, Fiverr search
- What
- Choosing the words buyers type: a plain title, the right category and subcategory, and up to five search tags, then using the same words naturally in the description.
- Why
- If your Gig does not appear for the terms buyers use, no one sees it, however good the work is.

Stuffing unrelated trending keywords into tags, which misleads buyers and can get the Gig flagged.
Gig packages
Also called Basic, Standard, Premium
- What
- Up to three tiers in one Gig, each with its own scope, delivery time, revisions and price. Some categories require minimum standard packages.
- Why
- Tiers let buyers pick a budget while you control scope. A clear middle package is often the one most buyers choose.
Watch out
Three packages that differ only in price, so the buyer cannot tell what the extra money buys.
Gig requirements
- What
- The questions a buyer answers after ordering, such as brand colours, logins or content. The order clock starts when they submit them.
- Why
- Good requirements prevent the back and forth that makes you miss delivery dates, and they record what the buyer asked for.
Gig gallery
- What
- The images and optional video on a Gig. You need at least one image and can add up to three, using only images you own.
- Why
- The first image appears in search results and decides whether a buyer clicks, so it should show real work, not stock art.
