ProgrammingProduct ManagementDesign

Pinterest built its apprenticeship for professionals from non tech backgrounds and for people who face barriers getting into the industry.

The programme runs up to one year, and apprentices can be considered for conversion to a full time role at the end.

There are four tracks: engineer, product manager, product designer and product researcher, each with its own entry requirement such as proficiency in a programming language or experience with design tools.

It is aimed at bootcamp graduates, self taught practitioners and people without a degree in the field, with at least a year of collaborative professional experience, and current undergraduate, master and doctoral students are not eligible.

Pinterest says new cohorts launch annually and asks interested people to register for notifications rather than publishing a fixed deadline.
