In the United States candidates must be available for 11 to 14 weeks during the summer, starting in May or June and ending in August or September, which the page gives as a duration of 12 to 14 weeks. In Canada the internship runs for 4, 8, 12 or 16 months. Qualcomm pairs interns with mentors, and runs social and networking events, team building, tech talks and wellness programmes; many interns convert to full time roles.
