Refund Policy
Last updated: 8 September 2026
Paid credits are not enabled yet. This is the policy that will apply when they are: 14 days, no questions asked, on anything you have not used.
1. Paid credits are currently disabled
At the time of writing, Sefism does not sell anything. Credits are granted free of charge, and no payment is taken from anyone.
This policy is published in advance so that the terms are known before any purchasing is switched on. If that changes, the date above will change with it.
2. What you would be buying
A credit package is a digital allowance that lets you submit queries. Credits are delivered to your account immediately after payment clears. There is nothing to ship and nothing to wait for.
A credit is not currency, has no cash value outside the platform, and cannot be transferred to another account. See the Terms of Service for the full description.
3. The 14-day refund window
You may request a full refund of any unused credits within 14 days of purchase, for any reason at all. You do not have to explain yourself.
Unused credits
Fully refundable within 14 days of the purchase that granted them.
Partially used package
Refunded pro rata: the price paid, less the per-credit price of the credits already spent.
Spent credits
Not refundable once the query has been answered: the work has been done. If the query has not yet been answered, ask, and the credit will be restored and refunded.
After 14 days
Outside the standard window, but ask anyway. Genuine problems get sorted out.
4. When a refund is given automatically
- A technical fault meant a query was never delivered or never answered.
- You were charged twice for the same package.
- Credits were not granted after a successful payment and cannot be granted retroactively.
- A feature you paid for is discontinued. Remaining credits are refunded pro rata.
In these cases you do not need to be inside any window.
5. What is not refundable
- Credits already spent on queries that were answered, including where you disagree with the advice given. Advice is opinion; buying a reply is not buying a particular reply.
- Credits forfeited because you deleted your own account.
- Credits on an account terminated for breaching the Terms of Service.
- Any outcome-based claim: no refund is owed because a job, interview, or promotion did not follow.
6. Your statutory rights
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases. Digital content delivered immediately is an exception where you expressly consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge losing that right. At checkout you will be asked to do exactly that.
The 14-day policy above is offered regardless, and is intended to be at least as generous as your statutory rights. Nothing here removes a right your local consumer law gives you.
7. How to request a refund
Email support@sefism.com from the address on your account, with the approximate date of purchase and the package you bought. That is enough: no form and no justification required.
Refunds are approved or declined within 5 business days, with a reason if declined. Approved refunds are returned by Stripe to the original payment method, and typically appear within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank. The refunded credits are removed from your balance.
If you believe a refund was wrongly declined, reply and say so. Please contact us before opening a chargeback with your bank. A chargeback freezes the account while the dispute runs, and almost everything is faster to resolve directly.
