What the channel covers
Chai aur Code is Hitesh Choudhary's channel dedicated, in its own words, to chai and coding in Hindi. Hitesh has taught programming online for many years, and this channel is his Hindi home. Because spoken Hindi and Urdu are so close, it is just as popular with students in Pakistan as in India.
The style is conversational and unhurried. Many series are long, built around a real project, and recorded as if you were pairing over a cup of tea. Topics span web development (JavaScript, TypeScript, Next.js), back end work in Django and Spring Boot, Java, mobile development, Git, computer networks and AI.
Series to start with
- Uncomfy Javascript: the parts of JavaScript people skip, explained properly.
- Chai aur Typescript: types for JavaScript developers.
- Chai aur full stack NextJS and Full Stack NextJS project with Imagekit and NextAuth: complete full stack builds with authentication and media uploads.
- Next Auth with MongoDB | chai aur NextJS: authentication in a real app.
- Chai aur Django: Python web development.
- Chai aur Java and Chai aur Springboot: the Java back end path.
- Chai aur Mobile Dev: building mobile apps.
- Git for interns - Git mess ups: fixing the Git mistakes everyone makes at their first job.
- Chai aur Computer Network: networking basics for developers.
- Reading Tech Docs with Chai: how to read official documentation, a skill that ends tutorial dependence.
- Chai aur AI: AI topics for developers.
Who it suits
University students and self-taught developers in South Asia who follow better in Hindi or Urdu, beginners who want long project-based series, and anyone who enjoys a mentor-style voice explaining why, not just how. Code and documentation are in English, so you still build the habit of reading English technical material.
How to learn without getting stuck in tutorial loops
- Start with Reading Tech Docs with Chai. Learning to read docs is the way out of needing a video for every step.
- Pause and predict. Before Hitesh writes the next function, write your version, then compare.
- Finish one full stack project, then build a different one alone. The second project, with no video, is the real lesson.
- Push to GitHub daily and write a short README in your own words for every project.
Pair it with on Sefism
- Use the Full stack development roadmap or the Backend development roadmap to keep the order clear, with the full stack and backend cheat sheets for revision.
- The Git series fits the Linux, terminal and Git roadmap and Pro Git.
- Read along with Next.js Documentation and The TypeScript Handbook.
- If English is the barrier at work, see How to improve English communication for tech jobs.

Stuck on something specific?
Writing only gets you so far. If you want an answer to your situation rather than the general case, book a session and we will work through it together. Sessions are free for approved Sefism members, and a few slots open each week.
