Coding Interview Playbook
A structured learning path through coding interview preparation that brings together data structures and algorithms fundamentals, recursion and the pattern-based approach to coding questions in one order. It totals 77 chapters and 1,054 lessons, with quizzes, flashcards and a certificate. Use it when you have plenty of material but no clear plan for what to study first.

What the path includes
The path chains three core courses into one sequence:
- Grokking Data Structures and Algorithms for Coding Interviews (17 chapters, 266 lessons): arrays, matrices, stacks, queues, linked lists, trees, hash tables, heaps, graphs, tries, sorting, searching, and greedy and divide-and-conquer algorithms.
- Grokking the Art of Recursion for Coding Interviews (4 chapters, 44 lessons): from simple problems such as factorial and greatest common divisor, through recursive sorting, to harder problems with memoisation and tree operations.
- Grokking the Coding Interview: Patterns for Coding Questions (49 chapters, 671 lessons): 23 coding patterns including two pointers, sliding window, graphs and dynamic programming.
Across the path there are chapter assessments, final exams, flashcard reviews and community access, and completing it earns a certificate.
Why a path helps
The most common preparation problem is not a lack of material. It is spending months switching between resources, repeating the same easy problems, and never reaching the topics that actually appear in interviews. A path removes that decision: you open it, do the next lesson, and move on when the checkpoint says you are ready.
How to use it well
- Be honest at the start. If the data structures course feels easy, move quickly through it using the chapter assessments to confirm. If it does not, take your time, because everything later builds on it.
- Keep a steady pace. An hour or two a day, five days a week, is sustainable alongside university or a job.
- Use the flashcards for regular revision so earlier patterns stay fresh.
- Code every problem yourself before reading the solution, and say your reasoning aloud.
- Book interviews once you are well into the patterns course, so the most tested material is behind you.
What you can do afterwards
By the end you should be able to recognise which pattern a new problem calls for, explain the time and space complexity of your approach, and write a working solution under time pressure. That combination is what coding interviews test.
Access
The path is available with an annual subscription that covers all current and future courses, or as a lifetime purchase of this bundle. Regional pricing discounts are offered; check the page for current prices in your country.

Common questions
How long does it take? It depends on your starting point. Working through it steadily usually takes a few months.
Do I need to know a programming language first? Yes. You should be comfortable writing basic programs in one language.
Is there a certificate? Yes, on completion.
Best for: students and engineers several weeks or more away from interviews who want one clear plan instead of many open tabs.

Stuck on something specific?
Writing only gets you so far. If you want an answer to your situation rather than the general case, book a session and we will work through it together. Sessions are free for approved Sefism members, and a few slots open each week.
