Deel
A global payroll and HR platform that many companies use to employ remote staff through its employer of record service or to pay contractors. If an offer mentions Deel, this is how you would be hired and paid; free for workers, as companies pay the fees.

What it is
Deel is a global HR and payroll platform. Companies use it to hire and pay people in other countries in two main ways: as employees through Deel's employer of record (EOR) service, where Deel's local entity becomes your legal employer, or as contractors who submit invoices and are paid through the platform. As of 2026-09 Deel says it operates in 150+ countries and supports 150+ currencies (source: deel.com).
Why it matters to you
You do not sign up for Deel to find a job. Instead, a company that hires you may onboard you through Deel. Understanding it helps you read your offer: who your legal employer is, how pay and benefits work, and how money reaches you.
Who pays (as of 2026-09)
Companies pay Deel. Its pricing page lists EOR at $599 per employee per month and contractor management at $49 per contractor per month (source: deel.com/pricing). These are the company's costs, not yours, and they explain why some companies prefer contractors or limit which countries they hire in.
If you are a contractor on Deel
Deel's help centre lists withdrawal methods including bank transfer, Deel Card, PayPal, Payoneer, Revolut, Wise, Coinbase and others, and notes that "not all withdrawal methods are available in all jurisdictions", that fees may apply and some have minimums (source: help.letsdeel.com). Check which methods work in your country and what they cost before your first invoice.
If you are an employee through Deel EOR
You sign a local employment contract with Deel's entity in your country. Deel runs payroll, withholds local tax and provides statutory benefits; the company directs your day-to-day work. Read the contract for pay, benefits, leave, notice and probation.
Safety note
Scammers impersonate well-known platforms. Only accept invitations that arrive from Deel's real domain and log in by typing the address yourself.
Common questions
Do I pay Deel anything? Companies pay the platform fees; withdrawal fees may apply to some methods.
Is Deel my employer? Under EOR, yes, legally; as a contractor, no, you contract with the client.
