Grind 75

What it does

Grind 75 lives on the Tech Interview Handbook site. Its about page describes it as "Blind 75 reimagined": the author looked at the top LeetCode questions by popularity, frequency, topics covered and ratings, picked 169 questions worth doing, and ranked them by value. The top 75 form the default plan.

You can:

• Choose the number of weeks and hours per week you have
• Choose difficulty levels and include or exclude topics
• View the plan grouped by week, by topic or by difficulty

The default 75 contain no premium questions, and premium questions are pushed as far back as possible in the wider list.

How the plan is ordered

According to the FAQ, questions are ranked within each topic, with easy questions first because they teach the core pattern, then mediums (more than half the list), and hards last because they usually take longer than 30 minutes. The combined list is then broken into weeks that mix topics, so you revisit each topic across several weeks. The author calls this spaced repetition, and it is why the FAQ recommends doing the list in order rather than topic by topic.

Each question also has a recommended duration. The FAQ says that if, after 20 to 30 questions, you still regularly need longer than the recommended time, that is a sign to revise fundamentals and practise easier questions first.

Why a generated plan beats a fixed list

A fixed list assumes a fixed timeline. People with three weeks work through a list designed for three months and get a third of the way through, never reaching trees or graphs. Generating the plan around your real constraint fixes that, and removes the daily question of what to do next.

What it deliberately leaves out

It does not show which companies ask each question. The author's view, stated in the FAQ, is that learning patterns across topics prepares you for any company better than chasing company lists. It also has no explanations of its own; each item links to the LeetCode problem.

How to use it well

• Be honest about hours. A plan built on ten hours a week that you cannot sustain is worse than a smaller plan you finish.
• Keep the default order unless you are a complete beginner, in which case grouping by topic first can help.
• Respect the recommended durations. If you are stuck past the time, read a hint or solution, then redo the problem a few days later.
• Pair it with explanations from NeetCode videos or LeetCode editorials, and with the Tech Interview Handbook's algorithm cheat sheets.

Common questions

Grind 75 or Blind 75? Grind 75 is the author's updated version, with more questions available, priorities and a schedule. There is little reason to use the original list instead.

Do I need LeetCode Premium? No, not for the default 75.

Best for: anyone with a known deadline, especially a short one.
