What it covers

The Make Help Center is the official documentation for Make. It explains how scenarios are built and scheduled, how modules output bundles, how mapping works, and every family of built-in functions for text, numbers, dates, arrays and more. It documents routers and filters, iterators and aggregators, data stores and data structures, webhooks, the HTTP app, connections, the Code app for JavaScript and Python, and the error handling system: the Ignore, Resume, Break, Commit and Rollback handlers and incomplete executions. It also explains credits, plan limits, teams and organisation settings.

Who it is for

Anyone building in Make, from beginners after their first Make Academy course to freelancers maintaining client scenarios. It is the place to check exact function syntax, such as formatDate with a time zone, or how a handler behaves.

How to use it

  • Keep the functions reference open while mapping; small syntax details, such as semicolons between arguments, cause many errors.
  • Read the error handling section before a scenario goes live, and turn on storing incomplete executions where you use Break.
  • Read the credits and pricing pages before estimating costs for a client.
  • Use app-specific pages to see which modules exist and what they need.

For structured learning, pair it with Make Academy.

Is it worth it?

Yes, and it is free. It reflects the current product, which matters because Make has changed billing from operations to credits and keeps adding AI features, so older tutorials can be misleading.

Free versus paid

The documentation is free. Make itself has a free plan and paid plans; as of 2026-09 the pricing page lists Free, Core, Pro, Teams and Enterprise, with the free plan including 1,000 credits a month and two active scenarios. Check the official page for current prices.

Common questions

Is there an API reference? Yes, Make has a developer section for its own API and custom apps, separate from the scenario help pages.

Where do I ask questions it does not answer? The Make Community forum.

Does it cover AI agents? Yes, AI features are documented alongside the rest of the product; check the dates on pages as this area changes quickly.
