Mindrift
Toloka's platform for AI trainers: write prompts, evaluate AI answers, improve responses and build training data in your field. Some simple tasks are open to every registered contributor; specialised projects need a CV, an assessment and identity checks. Paid twice a month through Payoneer or Tipalti (PayPal), and its eligibility page lists the countries it cannot support.

What Mindrift is
Mindrift is an AI training platform built by Toloka, a company that supplies human data for AI models. Contributors, whom it calls AI Trainers, do three main kinds of work: write realistic prompts, evaluate AI-generated answers (rate, rank, compare side by side or flag problems), and write better answers. Its FAQ is clear that this is "not a job": there is no employment contract and no fixed hours.
Two ways in
The FAQ (October 2026) describes two routes:
- All-access tasks: register and start on simpler tasks open to every contributor, with no application process.
- Specialised projects: choose an opportunity in your field, submit a CV, complete assessments and verify your identity. These need deeper knowledge, often backed by a degree, and pay more.
For coding work, the site describes applying with your CV, then a technical assessment.
Where it is available
Read the Eligibility and Geographic Restrictions page before you apply. The version dated 27 May 2026 lists sanctioned countries that can never use the platform and a separate list of places it cannot currently support because identity checks or payment rails do not cover them; Kenya was on that second list. Individual projects can add their own rules on country, language or background.
Pay and payment
Each task shows a fixed reward before you start, and you are paid only for tasks accepted as meeting the quality bar. Payments go out twice a month through Payoneer or Tipalti (PayPal), depending on the withdrawal method you choose.
Quality rules
Mindrift's FAQ says it blocks contributors who generate random dialogues, give unhelpful answers or are not genuinely qualified, and that trainers must not use generated content. Teams are supervised by a quality assurance specialist, and there is a Discord community for questions.
Best for: graduates and specialists, including programmers, in countries the platform supports, who can receive Payoneer or PayPal payments.

Stuck on something specific?
Writing only gets you so far. If you want an answer to your situation rather than the general case, book a session and we will work through it together. Sessions are free for approved Sefism members, and a few slots open each week.
