NeetCode

A coding interview practice site built around curated problem lists (Blind 75, NeetCode 150 and NeetCode 250), each problem with a video explanation, plus a free topic roadmap, an in-browser editor and paid courses on algorithms, system design, Python and object oriented design. It suits self-directed learners who prefer video explanations and want a clear list of what to practise and in what order.

What it offers

NeetCode grew out of the NeetCode YouTube channel of problem explanations. The site brings together:

  • Curated lists: Blind 75, NeetCode 150 and NeetCode 250, grouped by topic.
  • Roadmap: a visual map of 18 topics showing which ones depend on which (for example, arrays and hashing before two pointers, trees before tries and backtracking).
  • Practice: an in-browser editor with test cases and progress tracking.
  • Video explanations for the listed problems.
  • Courses: Algorithms and Data Structures for Beginners, Advanced Algorithms, System Design for Beginners, System Design Interview, Python for Beginners, Python for Coding Interviews, Python OOP, SQL for Beginners, Full Stack Development, and two object oriented design courses.

Free versus Pro

The lists, roadmap and many video explanations are free. NeetCode Pro unlocks the courses and extra features. The Pro page (September 2026) lists more than 200 videos, more than 300 practice problems, written guides, solutions in eight languages (Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, C#, Go, Swift and Kotlin), an AI assistant for hints and debugging, company-tagged problems across more than 100 companies, and a private Discord. It showed two plans that day: one year of access at $119 and a lifetime plan at $297, both shown as discounted from a higher list price. Prices change, so check the Pro page.

For most people the free tier plus NeetCode 150 is enough. Pro is worth considering if you want the structured video courses (particularly the beginner DSA course) or company-tagged lists close to a specific interview.

Why people rate it

The explanations. A written editorial tells you the answer; a good video shows the moment the insight arrives, which is the part you need to reproduce. The videos are short, draw the idea before coding it, and use Python, which is easy to follow whatever language you use.

How to use it well

  • Follow the roadmap order for NeetCode 150, topic by topic.
  • Attempt every problem for at least 20 to 25 minutes before opening the video. Watching first feels efficient and teaches very little, because recognising a solution is not the same as producing one.
  • After the video, close it and write the solution from memory, then redo the problem a week later.
  • Say your approach out loud while solving, as you would in an interview.

Common questions

NeetCode 150 or NeetCode 250? The 150 is the standard interview list. The 250 adds more problems and is aimed at beginners who want more practice per topic.

Do I need to know Python? No. The videos use Python, but the ideas carry over, and Pro solutions are in eight languages.

Is it enough on its own? For coding rounds, largely yes when combined with mock interviews. System design and behavioural rounds need separate preparation.

Best for: self-directed learners who want free structure and prefer video to written explanations.
