roadmap.sh: Frontend Developer
A visual map of front end skills with the essentials marked separately from the optional branches, which is what stops it becoming an anxiety generator. Use it as an audit, not a syllabus.

What it is
An interactive, community maintained skill map for front end development, distinguishing what is genuinely required from what is one popular option among several.
How to read it without panicking
The map is comprehensive, which means it looks like an impossible amount of work. It is not a list of things you must learn. The purple essential nodes are the actual job; the rest is a menu you sample from according to what you build. Reading it as a checklist is the most common way people misuse it.
Where it is genuinely useful
Deciding what to learn next when you are past the beginner stage and everything looks equally plausible, and comparing your current skills against a real job posting.
Best for: self directed learners choosing a direction, and anyone auditing their gaps.

Stuck on something specific?
Writing only gets you so far. If you want an answer to your situation rather than the general case, book a session and we will work through it together. Every session is free; a few slots open each week.
