What it is

An interactive topic map, community maintained and open source, laying out system design concepts as nodes you can mark complete, each linking out to free reading.

What it is good for

Auditing. The most common problem in self directed learning is not knowing what you do not know, and a map with sixty nodes on it makes the gaps visible in about a minute. Marking off what you already understand and looking at what remains is a genuinely useful half hour.

What it is not

A course. The nodes point at external material of varying quality and there is no instruction of its own, so it will tell you what to learn and largely leave the learning to you.

Best for: finding gaps before you choose a course, and tracking progress across a long preparation.
