What it is
Zapier Academy, at learn.zapier.com, is Zapier's official training site. As of 2026-09 it offers short video courses grouped into learning paths, including Jumpstart for getting started, an AI Builder path, an MCP path for connecting AI assistants to apps through Zapier, and Account Admin Essentials. The site says most courses run 10 to 55 minutes and a full learning path takes roughly one to two hours.
Cost and certificates
Zapier says every course and learning path is free. Courses sit behind your Zapier login, and a free plan works. When you finish a course you receive a certificate of completion with a link to add it to your LinkedIn profile.
Who it is for
Beginners to Zapier, people who have used it casually and want to understand it properly, and freelancers who want a quick, official grounding before building Zaps for clients. The AI Builder path suits anyone adding AI steps or Zapier Agents to workflows.
Is it worth it?
Yes, for the time it takes. The courses are short, current and focused on how Zapier works today, including newer features such as Tables, Forms (formerly Interfaces), AI steps and Agents. Because they are brief, they will not make you an expert on their own; combine them with the Zapier Help Center and real practice. They also do not cover general API knowledge, client scoping, pricing or data protection, which you will need for client work.
Prerequisites
None. A free Zapier account is enough to follow along, though some features shown, such as multi-step Zaps, Paths and Webhooks by Zapier, need a paid plan or trial.
What you can do after
Build and test Zaps with filters, Paths and Formatter steps, use Tables and Forms, add AI steps and understand how task usage is counted, which matters when you estimate costs for a client.
Common questions
Is there a certification exam? Courses give certificates of completion; check the site for any formal certification programme.
How long does it take? An afternoon for a path, a few days to cover the main paths with practice.
