What it covers
The Zapier Help Center is the official documentation for Zapier. It explains key concepts such as triggers, actions and how Zaps run; how to map fields and handle line items; the built-in tools Filter, Paths, Formatter, Delay, Looping, Digest and Sub-Zaps; Webhooks by Zapier for any API; Code by Zapier in JavaScript and Python, including how inputData and outputs work; Tables and Forms (formerly Interfaces); Zap history, replaying runs, Autoreplay and error handler settings; and how tasks are counted on each plan. Each app also has integration pages and troubleshooting notes.
Who it is for
Anyone building with Zapier, from first-time users to freelancers maintaining dozens of client Zaps. It is where you check exactly how a feature behaves on the current plan, which is essential before promising a client something.
How to use it
- Read the key concepts article first, then the pages on Filters, Paths and Formatter.
- Before any client Zap goes live, read the pages on Zap history, replay, Autoreplay and error handling, and decide where error notifications go.
- Read the task usage pages before estimating costs; built-in tools and failed steps are counted differently from successful actions.
- Use the app pages when a trigger or action behaves unexpectedly.

Is it worth it?
Yes, and it is free. Zapier changes plan features and product names from time to time, such as Interfaces becoming Forms in 2026, so the Help Center is the reliable source; older tutorials may show outdated screens or limits.
Free versus paid
The documentation is free. Zapier has a free plan with 100 tasks a month and two-step Zaps, and paid Professional, Team and Enterprise plans, as of the 2026-09 pricing page. Many features documented here, such as Paths, webhooks, Code steps and Autoreplay, need a paid plan.
Common questions
Does it cover the Zapier developer platform? Building your own Zapier integration is documented separately on Zapier's developer site.
Where do I ask questions it does not answer? The Zapier Community.
Does it cover AI features? Yes, including AI steps and Agents; these pages change often, so check their dates.
