Forward deployed and solutions engineering

Stage 2 · Lesson 1 of 6

One language you are fast in

Core engineering you still need

Customer work is mostly glue: moving data between systems, calling , wrapping a model, cleaning a messy export. You need one language you can write quickly and correctly under time pressure, usually , with TypeScript as the common second for web work.

Fast means you can read a file, call an API, handle errors and write a small command-line tool without searching for every line. It also means reading other people's code comfortably, because at a customer you will mostly work in code you did not write. Depth in one language beats a shallow tour of five.

Common traprelying on an AI assistant for every line, then freezing when you must explain or fix code live in front of a customer.

A question to check yourself, an AI practice session and 1 cheat sheet entry come with the full roadmap. Unlock
