Stage 3 · Lesson 2 of 7
Own outcomes, not tickets
A ticket says what to build. An outcome is the result the business wanted from it: fewer failed payments, a faster page, a customer who renews. People who only close tickets are easy to swap, and their work is the part AI tools speed up most.
People who own outcomes ask why the work matters, check that it worked after release, and fix the gaps nobody assigned. That habit is what managers mean when they say someone is "reliable" or "senior for their level". It also gives you better material for reviews and your CV, because you can say what changed.
Common trapwaiting to be told. starts with small steps: after your next release, check the numbers yourself and tell your manager what you found.
A question to check yourself, an AI practice session and 1 cheat sheet entry come when you add the roadmap to your account. Add it
