Keep at least one channel where you own the connection

Why it matters
On social platforms, the algorithm decides who sees your work, and rules change without notice. Two channels give you a more direct connection:
- Your own site with an address you control.
- An email list, where subscribers have asked to hear from you.
You do not have to start with either. But once people show interest, invite them to subscribe or bookmark your site. If a platform changes its feed or your account has a problem, you can still reach the people who chose to follow your work.
