Chapter 1 · Practice 4 of 4
Decide which language and region you are writing for
From Pick your formats
Why it matters
Writing in English reaches a global audience but competes with a huge amount of content. Writing in Urdu, Hindi, Arabic or another language reaches fewer people but often fills a real gap, especially for beginners.
Both are valid. Pick deliberately:
- English if your goal is international roles, remote work or global clients.
- Your local language if you want to teach beginners in your region or stand out in a smaller space.
- Both, with separate channels or clearly labelled posts, if you have the time.
Keep technical terms in their standard English form either way, so readers can search for them later.
Do
- Choose a language based on your goal and audience
Avoid
- Mixing languages unpredictably within one channel
