What they ask for
As a software engineer summer intern you are embedded on an agile engineering team in one of the technology lines of business, helping design, build, test and improve digital applications and platforms.
Work can mean improving payment experiences, enhancing trading systems, automating processes or strengthening platform reliability, and teams use the firm internal AI tools as part of day to day development.
The summer starts with a firmwide orientation and a technology induction, followed by training in areas such as cyber security, communication and the responsible use of AI in software engineering.
Every intern gets a dedicated peer mentor who is a junior software engineer, plus senior speaker sessions and time to network and shadow colleagues, and there is a cross disciplinary project with interns from other functions for community partners.
The firm states that its summer internships last from 10 to 12 weeks and are offered to undergraduates in their next to last year, with roles listed in countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Switzerland, Israel, India, Singapore, Hong Kong and mainland China.
