What they ask for
Explore interns work in pods alongside other Explore interns on a real world project, moving through the design, build and quality phases of the product development lifecycle, with mentoring, community building and networking around it. The United States programme runs 12 weeks and gives exposure to both the program manager and software engineer disciplines; the India programme runs eight weeks and focuses on software engineering. Locations named on the page are Redmond in Washington, Atlanta in Georgia, and various India campuses. It is aimed at first and second year college students in technical disciplines who have completed an introductory computer science course and one semester of calculus, and there are separate applications for first year and second year undergraduates. Microsoft says applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled, with each posting open for a minimum of five days.
