What the channel covers
NetworkChuck's stated goal is to help as many people as possible start a career in IT, often through certifications. He covers Cisco, CompTIA, AWS and Microsoft topics, and has been a trainer at CBT Nuggets. The channel's range is wide: networking and subnetting, Linux, Bash, Python, Docker, ethical hacking, home servers, Raspberry Pi projects and, more recently, local AI and workflow automation.
The style is loud, fast and enthusiastic, with lots of "do this with me right now" moments. That makes it one of the easiest ways to get a beginner excited about IT, and many videos end with something working on your own computer.
Playlists to start with
- Linux for Hackers (and everyone) // FREE Course for Beginners: a friendly first Linux course.

Who it suits
Beginners who are not sure which part of IT they like, students in networking or security programmes, and developers who want to finally understand networking and Linux. If you need exam depth, pair it with a dedicated certification course.
How to learn without getting stuck in tutorial loops
The excitement is the point, but it can also turn into watching instead of doing.
- Always follow along on a machine. A spare laptop, a virtual machine or WSL is enough.
- Finish one series before starting another. Linux, then Bash, then networking is a sensible order.
- Rebuild without the video. After each episode, repeat the task from memory and write down what you had to look up.
- Build a small home lab project of your own, such as a self hosted service, and document it on GitHub.
Pair it with on Sefism
- The Network engineering roadmap and its cheat sheet give the networking videos a structure.
- The Linux, terminal and Git roadmap and cheat sheet pair with the Linux and Bash series.
- For security: the Cybersecurity roadmap and OverTheWire: Bandit.
- For CCNA depth: Jeremy's IT Lab: CCNA 200-301 Complete Course and Cisco Packet Tracer, plus Is CCNA still worth it for a fresh graduate?
Best for: curious beginners who want to try networking, Linux and security hands-on before choosing a path.
