If you are in danger right now

Rozan's helpline is not open around the clock. If you are thinking about suicide or self-harm, or you are not safe, contact your local emergency services or a 24/7 line such as Umang. Sefism is not a medical or crisis service.

What it is

Rozan is a non-profit registered in Pakistan in December 1998. It works with individuals, communities and institutions on emotional health, gender equality and ending violence against women and children. The Rozan Counselling Helpline (RCHL) is its counselling service: a non-judgmental, confidential space to talk.

How to reach it

From Rozan's helpline page (October 2026):

  • Phone (normal call charges): 0304-111-1741
  • Toll-free: 0800-22-444
  • Email: helpline@rozan.org
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 am to 5:00 pm (9:30 am to 3:00 pm in Ramadan)

Check the site before you call, numbers change.

What it covers

Rozan lists emotional health, sexual and reproductive health, violence against women and girls, and child sexual abuse. In practice that includes stress, anxiety, low mood, relationship and family problems, and harassment. It also offers email counselling, in-person counselling and community counselling camps.

Who it suits

Students and young adults in Pakistan who want to talk something through with a counsellor, people affected by harassment or violence, and anyone who would rather write an email than speak on the phone.

How to use it well

  • Call within the hours, and keep a 24/7 line saved for nights and weekends.
  • Use email if speaking feels too hard; you can say exactly what you mean and take your time.
  • Ask about next steps, such as in-person counselling or a referral, if you need more than one conversation.
  • If someone is hurting you, say so plainly; your safety comes first.
