AI data and training work

Stage 2 · Lesson 1 of 7

Pay varies by country, project and skill

The honest picture

There is no single rate for this work. Platforms say openly that pay depends on your expertise, the project's difficulty and your location: 's FAQ says rates vary "by expertise, project complexity, and location", and says the same.

Specialist and coding projects generally pay more than general ones, and the same task can pay differently in Lagos and London. Some projects pay per hour, others per task, and per-task work rewards speed only if your accuracy holds. Platforms show the rate before you accept a project, so judge each one then.

Work out your : what you earned divided by the hours you actually spent, including reading guidelines and unpaid tests.

Common trapbelieving pay figures from videos and ads. They are often the top of a range, from another country, or from a project that has closed.
