Components

Webflow: Designer, classes and CMS

(once called symbols) are reusable pieces such as a navbar, a footer or a card. You edit a component once, and every copy updates. Properties open up the parts that change each time you use it, such as a heading, an image or a link.

The structure and styles stay locked. This keeps repeated elements consistent, and a teammate or client can change content without breaking the design. Decide early which pieces repeat, and turn them into components before you copy them across pages. They also make the handover stage simpler, because there are fewer places to explain.

Common trapduplicating a section across ten pages, then having to fix the same bug ten times.
