Focus, habits and time: get started, keep going, rest well

Stage 5 · Lesson 4 of 6

A steady daily study block

Study routines that work

A short study block at the same time every day beats occasional heroic sessions. One to two focused hours, five or six days a week, adds up to far more than a twelve-hour weekend that leaves you exhausted. Pick a time that fits your energy and your real life: classes, commute, family meals, prayer times, part-time work, power cuts.

Put it in your calendar like a class. Start each block by writing what you will finish, use a few Pomodoro rounds and end by noting where to start tomorrow. If something important comes up, move the block rather than skip it.

Common trapplanning a daily schedule with eight hours of study that you have never actually done, failing on day two and dropping the whole plan.
