Masters and scholarships abroad

Stage 4 · Lesson 2 of 7

Fully funded scholarships, realistically

Funding and scholarships

Big government scholarships fund a small share of applicants each year. Examples are Chevening, , DAAD programmes, Erasmus Mundus, MEXT and Australia Awards. Each has strict eligibility rules.

These cover nationality, degree dates, sometimes years of work experience, and often a : a promise to go back home for a period after you finish. Read the official eligibility page line by line. Note the deadline, which is often a year before you would travel.

Check how you apply: directly, through a university, or through a national , a body in your country that picks candidates first. Apply to the ones you clearly qualify for, alongside university admissions, not instead of them.

Common trappaying anyone who promises to secure a scholarship, because official scholarships never require a fee to an agent.
