Stage 5 · Lesson 6 of 7
A second income stream, done safely
A small second income, such as freelance work, a paid product, teaching or content, does two things: it softens the hit if your salary stops, and it proves to you that you can earn outside one employer. It does not have to be large to matter.
But check your first. Many contracts limit outside work, claim ownership of things you build, or require permission. Never use company time, equipment or code, and never work for a competitor or a client of your employer.
Keep it small enough that your main job does not suffer, because that would make you easier to cut.
Common trapstarting something that quietly breaks your contract, or that eats so much energy your performance drops.
A question to check yourself, an AI practice session and 2 cheat sheet entries come when you add the roadmap to your account. Add it
