Tech jobs abroad

Stage 1 · Lesson 6 of 6

One destination, one plan

Decide if, and where

By the end of this stage, pick one main destination and one backup, and write down why. Note the visa route you will aim for, the roles and cities you will target, your there, what your family agreed and the date you want to move.

A focused plan beats applying everywhere, because every country has its own CV norms, job boards, visa paperwork and steps, and each takes weeks to learn. If the decision is "not yet", that is a good outcome too: write what would change your mind, such as two years of experience or a remote role first.

Common trapspreading thin effort across six countries and getting nowhere in any of them.
