What this cheat sheet is
The Sefism AI video and design for clients cheat sheet is a quick-revision companion to the AI video and design for clients roadmap. It is written for students and early-career creatives selling ads, explainers, shorts, product shots, thumbnails and brand visuals made with AI tools, and it follows the roadmap's eight stages chapter by chapter.
It comes in two editions, matching the roadmap: AI video (64 concepts) and AI images and design (56 concepts). Each concept is a short card: what it is in plain words, why it matters, and for many, the mistake people usually make with it. Each chapter ends with library resources to go deeper. Tool names and platform specs were read on official pages in October 2026, and the sheet says so where they date.
Chapter by chapter
1. What clients buy
Demand signals, ad creatives, thumbnails, brand kits and creative testing, plus UGC-style ads, explainers and short-form video in the video edition, or product photography in the images edition. The point of the chapter is to sell a result a business already pays for, not a tool.
2. Creative fundamentals
The decisions AI does not make for you: hooks, story structure, colour and contrast, typography and brand consistency, with shot types, pacing and sound for video, or composition and visual hierarchy for images.
3. The tool stack
A tool picker for your edition and what each kind of tool does: text-to-video, image-to-video, AI avatars, voice generation and the editor for video; text-to-image, inpainting and outpainting for images; and how credits and plans work. Names and versions are as of October 2026, and the chapter reminds you to check the official page before client work.
4. Prompting and consistency
A prompt formula for your edition, reference images, style references and seeds for images, first and last frames, shot lists and storyboards for video, character consistency, the iteration loop and upscaling.
5. Rights, consent and labels
Commercial-use terms, copyright in AI output, likeness and consent, deepfake rules, platform AI labels, Content Credentials, SynthID, trademarks and other people's work, licensed music, and a rights checklist. Like the roadmap, it is not legal advice: it tells you when to read the official terms or ask a lawyer.
6. Portfolio and offers
A spec portfolio, case notes, package tiers, turnaround, revision rounds, pricing per asset and usage rights.
7. Finding and keeping clients
Gig and profile listings, proposals, prospecting from the Meta Ad Library, cold outreach, paid test projects, scam signs and retainers. Platform setup itself lives in the Freelancing roadmap.
8. Delivery and specs
Creative briefs, aspect ratios per platform, safe zones, file naming and versions, review links and the handover pack, plus export settings and captions with SRT files for video, or image file formats for images. Specs were read on official pages in October 2026; recheck them before big jobs.
Rules of thumb
The sheet closes with practical rules (9 in the video edition, 8 in the images edition), among them: sell one format to one kind of client before adding a second service; learn one generator and one editor or design tool deeply before trying others; save every winning prompt, reference and setting in a prompt sheet per client; read the commercial terms of each tool on the plan you actually have and keep a dated copy; get written consent before making any real person's face or voice; and tell the client which AI label each platform needs before they upload. A glossary covers the smaller terms.
How to use it with the roadmap
- After each stage, read the matching chapter and check you can explain every card without looking.
- Before a job, skim chapters 1, 2 and 4 so the hook, the style and the prompt sheet are right before you spend credits.
- Before anything is published, run the rights checklist in chapter 5.
- On delivery day, keep chapter 8 open for aspect ratios, safe zones and the handover pack.

FAQ
Is this a substitute for the roadmap? No. The roadmap is the plan, with hours, milestones and checklists; the sheet is what you revise from and keep open while you work.
What is a safe zone? The part of a video frame where platform buttons and captions do not cover your text or logo. The delivery chapter lists them per platform as read in October 2026.
Do I need to label AI-generated content? Often, yes. YouTube, Meta and TikTok each have rules for realistic AI content, and some laws now require labels too. Chapter 5 summarises them and tells you to check each platform's current page.
Which edition should I pick? The one matching the service you want to sell: video for ads, explainers and shorts, images for product shots, thumbnails and brand visuals.
