Building real confidence

Stage 4 · Lesson 1 of 6

Your evidence file

Collecting evidence and small wins

Self-doubt has a selective memory: it remembers every mistake and forgets every success. An evidence file fixes that. It is a simple document where you record wins, both big and small: a bug you fixed, a question you asked, kind feedback from a teacher, a problem you solved for a friend, a hard week you got through.

Add messages, marks and screenshots. Write what you did and what skill it shows. Many professionals keep one, sometimes called a brag document, for performance reviews and CVs. You use it when doubt gets loud: open it and read the evidence.

Common traponly recording big achievements. Small, frequent wins matter more for confidence, and they are what you will forget first.
