Stage 5 · Lesson 5 of 7
Asking for and receiving feedback
should not wait for a formal review. Ask specific questions about specific work, soon after it happens. For example: "what would have made that easier to review?" or "was my update in the planning meeting clear?"
Ask peers too, not only your manager. is a skill of its own. Listen fully, ask for an example if it is vague, thank the person and say what you will try.
You do not have to agree with everything, but understand it before you respond. Small, regular feedback lets you correct course long before a review.
Common trapexplaining why the feedback is wrong before you have understood it, which teaches people to stop giving it.
A question to check yourself, an AI practice session and 2 cheat sheet entries come when you add the roadmap to your account. Add it
