Stage 5 · Lesson 7 of 7
Giving credit to others
When a teammate helps you or does great work, say so. Thank them in the team channel, mention them in your update, or tell their manager directly. costs you nothing.
It makes invisible help visible and builds goodwill that comes back when you need help. It also matters at review time, when managers look for evidence of impact, including help given to others. Be specific: what did they do, and what did it change?
As a junior, you often notice help that seniors take for granted, so your thanks carries weight.
Common trapthanking people only in private messages, where nobody who decides reviews or promotions ever sees it.
A question to check yourself, an AI practice session and 1 cheat sheet entry come when you add the roadmap to your account. Add it
