Stage 5 · Lesson 6 of 7
Saying what you will deliver, and when
People judge your reliability against what you said you would do. means making that clear from the start. When you take on work, say what you will deliver, by when, and what might delay it.
When new requests arrive, do not just say yes to everything. Ask which comes first, or when the new one is needed, and let your manager decide the trade-offs. When a date changes, tell people straight away and give a new date.
Over time, people learn that your word holds. That is how you are given bigger work, which the first year plan stage builds on.
Common trapagreeing to every request in your first months to seem helpful, then delivering none of them on time.
A question to check yourself, an AI practice session and 1 cheat sheet entry come when you add the roadmap to your account. Add it
