Stage 3 · Lesson 5 of 8
Written, low-context updates
Much teamwork happens in writing: chat, tickets, and documents. This is , where people read and reply in their own time. Write messages that make sense on their own to someone who was not in the room.
Say what happened, why it matters, where things stand now, a link, and what you need from whom by when. Put the main point in the first line. Use threads and team channels so answers stay easy to find.
This matters even more on remote teams or across time zones, where a vague message can cost a day of back and forth. It is also the base for the in the communication stage.
Common trapwriting "done" or "fixed it" with no link or context, which forces three follow-up questions.
A question to check yourself, an AI practice session and 1 cheat sheet entry come when you add the roadmap to your account. Add it
